Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a brutal mountain-climbing game inspired by Jazzuo’s 2002 B-Game classic ‘Sexy Hiking’. You control the hammer using your mouse—that’s the entire setup. With enough practice, you can leap, swing, climb and soar. Extraordinary secrets and a magnificent reward await skilled hikers who make it to the summit.

As Jazzuo himself put it: “The hiking action is very similar to way you would do it in real life, remember that and you will do well”.

• Endure between 2 and ∞ hours of painful gameplay, depending. My playtesters took a median of 5 hours to complete it, while the average was nearer to ∞.
